Mr. Modesto Lobón

Minister for the Agriculture, Livestock and Environment of the Government of Aragon, Modesto Lobón.

“Throughout its history, Aragon, its population and economic and policy decision-makers, have given utmost importance to water, preserving resources, managing its distribution and protecting the environment.

Within my commitment as Regional Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Environment of the Government of Aragon, I firmly believe that the regions must work together with determination to make water a key priority that will serve to ensure the quality of life of future generations.

I am sincerely honoured to be part of WATER CoRe consortium. I reaffirm my commitment to cooperate with other regions in order to improve the effectiveness of policies and instruments for regional development through the exchange of information on a large scale, as well as to share experiences related to drought and water scarcity. ”

This project is cofinanced by the ERDF and made possible by the INTERREG IVC programme

The Interregional Cooperation Programme INTERREG IVC, financed by the European Union’s Regional Development Fund, helps Regions of Europe work together to share experience and good practice in the areas of innovation, the knowledge economy, the environment and risk prevention. EUR 302 million is available for project funding but, more than that, a wealth of knowledge and potential solutions are also on hand for regional policy-makers.
